In Review

It's funny that I was looking back on this post, just before the COD: Ghosts game came out last year.

After playing the game now for almost a year, I can reflect on my post. Although it wasn't a prediction, it was good to see that there were some good new aspects to the game.

On my "Interactive Maps" idea, they didn't go so far as I would have liked to see, but at least one map has a tree that you can shoot to make fall down over a ravine and walk across.

They didn't fix Elite. They just made a new Call Of Duty app for your phone that is kind of okay... However it is multi-platform in the stats and you can have gamers from other platforms in your clan, the game itself is not. I don't like that you can't use a computer to access the stats, but the app isn't horrible. It updates within minutes of finishing a game, so it makes it easy when you're trying to complete goals with the clan wars.

I guess I should go pre-order the new one. Haven't been able to afford a One yet, but once I do, I won't be getting rid of the 360. My COD collection could not be complete without the console to play it on.

The Smell of Snomobiles

It's the obligatory post-christmas pre-new year's post.

I don't have a whole lot to say, I thought the other day about writing but I can't remember a goddamn lick of it so here's to wingin' it.

Christmas this year was wonderful. I lavished gifts upon my family and it was also returned. I had a great time, even though we do a lot of switching around and traveling for the holidays, it all turned out okay. I got to spend some time with Gramma and my sister, who brought her boyfriend along for the night. He was a delight to meet, and spend time with. I'm really glad they are happy together, because what makes her happy, makes me happy! No complaints from this side of the family about him, we all enjoyed his company.

I'm very happy that for once, I didn't have to stress over christmas shopping. I started early enough, and made enough money that I didn't have to worry. I bought what I wanted for people, and I have no idea what I spent in total. I have never actually worked out what I have spent on previous christmas shopping either, but I most always worried about the money.

I tried to make new years plans with my sister, but that was a bust. It's just too close and I waited too long to make plans. I guess I was hoping that something cool would just come up, or I was depending on my friends to invite us along with their plans. Well nothing came up, and I guess our friends either aren't doing anything, or don't want us to accompany them.

I am kind of bummed about this. I have no plans to ring in the new year, and it is just tomorrow.

You'd think I have much more important things to worry about though. My temporary plates are going to run out on The Beater, and I am awaiting an emissions test to get permanent plates on it. This part scares me as I have no idea if it's going to pass or not, which could leave me screwed. I'm just trying to take things one step at a time, and I think we're good for a couple of days, so I'll just have to wait and see.

The Boyfriend and kids spent the afternoon the other day building a fort. Although it's not 'done', it's pretty impressive.

Before I go, I just HAVE to share some loot I got boxing week shopping.

I also got a new pair of sweat pants, some shopping at La Senza (thanks Gramma), and a mix of other things along with the new wolf skin on COD with my xbox gift card (thanks Meg).

COD

I wanted to write a little about gaming. In particular Call of Duty. I play this game. I'm in a female clan as well.

COD: Ghosts is coming out and I'm very excited. Thinking about it, I wonder what they are going to do to change the experience, or make it better. So here are the things that I wish they could do, but they probably wont.

In Zombie (or 'Alien') Modes

• Allow points sharing. As the rounds go on, sometimes I have so many points I don't need. Sometimes you have someone who has no points at all. t would be cool to be able to give points to someone else so they can buy weapons/ammo.

OR

• Allow weapon switching. Kind of like in Army of Two and other games (was it Left 4 Dead?) where you could switch weapons with your partner. That way, if your buddy doesn't have the points or ammo, you can help them out.

In Multiplayer Modes

• More time spend finding and dealing with boosters and hackers.
• Interactive maps. I've missed having vehicles, like COD3 had. It would also be nice if they expanded from cars blowing up to buildings/stairs breaking, or trees falling down due to grenades or heavy fire.

In Elite

• Decent unlocks to look forward to.
• Better updating, or at least say how long it will take to reflect a score.
• A site that works at least most of the time.
• Cross Platform

In General

• Cross Platform Gaming. There are many other games that do this, why can't Ghosts?

I do know one thing, that they will have a female character finally, which I know a lot of ladies are excited about. I'm just excited for a new game. I love all the Call of Duty games, and it's always exciting to have something new.

I have my copy of the game paid for and I will be going to the midnight launch. I only wish I could have afforded the prestige copy: super cool camera!! Maybe someone savvy will find a random one online for an amazing gift idea ;-)
