It's been a while since I posted here but that doesn't mean anything lol It's winter and so of course the daydreaming is constant. So here's PART 1 and PART 2
So I've been challenged with the question of "what" this idea is really... Is it a campground? You want to own property with other people?
I figure we can rent out space, AirBNB style, so in a way it might be considered different things to different people. Cute ass little cabins on a river, secluded from society just enough to not have the light pollution but close enough to run to get something when needed.
We could hold classes on gardening or other useful skills to share the knowledge with people and earn a little extra. There are so many opportunities!
Thinking about the possibilities of owning something with multiple other people is a little scary. You need people you can trust. First I thought you buy it together but then I started thinking that one person could buy it and rent to the others. THEN I thought that well, it could be severed into neat little rectangles so people actually get to OWN their own shit. With an agreement that we work the land together but you own this actual chunk.
This is all because we are all broke-asses and the market prices have just gone through the fucking roof lately that owning anything seems so fucking unattainable. Buying land is so much cheaper, and everyone doesn't have to move in right away, some people maybe want to build a cottage first and not move for another 10 or 20 years. The flexibility is there. That way you have the people you want, the space you want and not some stranger. When it comes time to sell someone's part in the land the agreement must be that it's sold to another like-minded individual or something.
"Come on, little lady, give us a smile" No, PTSD ain't nothing to smile about. I don't owe you a goddamn thing.

My ex husband was a "hunter". I say that in quotations because he always said he liked to hunt, and talked about having guns hande...

Daydreaming (part 2)
I've been dreaming of the actuality of how things would work. I decided to write it down.
Here's Part 1.
There's going to need to be a shop. One fairly large for welding things and woodworking things and a place for all the making everyone wants to do.
The kitchen will also be for dining and gatherings. (The Gathering Hall?) Sometimes we could work together and cook dinner for everyone, maybe a once a week thing. If it becomes a success and we have the people for it, we can have sign ups for the different jobs and cook more than that, even do meal prepping for those who choose to work outside jobs.
Maybe there should be some sort of points system. Because everyone has their strengths so, someone who's building something like a home would get lots of points so they can exchange them for cooking duties or something.
There's a 16 acre lot I've been eyeing up. I just finally found it online and its a bit out of reach financially. I did find an 8.5 acre lot that is way more affordable not too far from the first one, and another 8.2 acre lot on a main highway type road even better priced.
So the ideal lot would be something with easy access to the electricity/sewer/water etc. The first one was on municipal sewage so would be easier for the rest than some place out in the country. It's like somehow finding the happy place between in "town" and not.

Daydreaming (part 1)
I've been dreaming of the actuality of how things would work. I decided to write it down.
We will have 10 acres of mostly treed land. Hopefully there will be a river nearby or through the property for fishing. There will need to be internet, the bloggers and the youtubers will need it too, so we won't be too far out of town.
We will have gardens, so many gardens. With all sorts of vegetables. For eating fresh or canning and preserving. We'll sell what we need to help with the bills.
There might be a large farmhouse or a plantation style house renovated for our purposes. We wont need a living room or dining area because there will be a large hall for gatherings and meals. We will make a large bathroom facility to accommodate everyone, with shower stalls and multiple sinks with baskets for all the personal items to keep things neat and tidy. This may only be temporary for some until we build smaller homes for those who don't want to share the house.
We could find old cheap trailers to use as well. If the roofs are no good we can build a stationary roof for them because it's not like they'll be moving around anymore.
The hall will have a large kitchen and a long table and a fireplace. We'll probably need multiple fridges and freezers for all the food. And an entire room for storage of all the dry goods and cans.
Everyone will do their part. Cooking, cleaning, pruning, harvesting, building, selling at the market. We will work with everyone's strengths and teach people new things.
I haven't figured out how we'll get water and heat to all of the houses yet...
